The above screenshot has been spotted in the wild. If what the screenshot suggests is true, then the rumors would be too. The new MacBook Pro 6,1 will contain an Intel Core i7 processor and clocks significantly higher than the current MacBook Pro.

Joy of Tech had an interesting take on the name of the new iPhone 3G S. It’s entertaining but it does point out one issue…the name of the new iPhone is anything but creative.

• Make sure your iTunes software is updated to version 8.2
• Plug in your iPhone & sync it normally (this will create a backup to restore in case something goes wrong)
• Hold ALT (Mac only) or SHIFT (PC only) and click the “Restore” button
• Select your downloaded file
• After the sync finishes, it will ask if you would like to sync your phone as a new phone or restore from a previous, restore from a previous device

That’s it! You should have a fully functional iPhone 3G running OS 3.0. A couple quick sidenotes, MMS does NOT work yet on AT&T, it will not be available until later this summer. I was also unable to find any apps that took advantage of the newly added Push notification ability. It is thought that this won’t release until the official date.

Microsoft has added a touch screen to their new lines of Zune called Zune HD. It is stated it will arrive come fall. Zune HD includes an HD Radio Reciever and HD Video output. In order to get the full HD quality to be played, you must use an HD television via a docking station and HDMI ports. The screen will utilize organic light-emitting diodes that is supposedly to improve picture quality.

Microsoft has plans to combine this video feature with the Xbox gaming console. The integration of Zune Video to Xbox Live is said to debut next week at E3.

Google has finally released the stable version of Google Chrome 2. This new version of Chrome has added a few new key features as well as all important speed. Speeds in this new version have been estimated to be between 25% – 35% in benchmarking tests. Check out the rest of the details of Google Chrome 2.

Improved New Tab Page: The most requested feature from users was the ability to remove thumbnails from the New Tab page. Now you can finally hide that embarrassing gossip blog from the Most Visited section.

Full Screen Mode: If you’ve ever given a presentation or watched a large video using Google Chrome, you might have wished you could use every last pixel on your screen for the content. Now you can hide the title bar and the rest of the browser window by hitting F11 or selecting the option in the Tools menu.

Form Autofill: Filling out your information in forms over and over again can be tedious. Form autofill helps by showing information you’ve previously entered into the same form fields automatically. If at any point you want to clear out your information, that’s easy to do from the Tools menu.

Have you ever wished you could just set a folder and have all of the music in that folder constantly dumped into iTunes, not forcing you to constantly import music? Of course there is always the folder watch feature in iTunes, but for those who aren’t satisfied with the built in features, there’s a new app in town. iWatchSyncer monitors any folder and automattically adds the MP3s in that folder to your iTunes library. You can select any folder on your system for iWatchSyncer to watch, that way when you download new music outside of the iTunes store, you don’t have to go through the annoying import process every single time.

The featured maps are “Corrosion” & “Sub Pens.” While the videos don’t feature all of the maps expected to be released in the second DLC pack, it’s worth taking a look at these videos. Recently, I’ve been considering buying a laptop stand for my desk. My main issues have been finding one that I liked and finding one that wasn’t insanely overpriced. It looks like now, I may have found the answer and though it was only fitting to share it with everyone else. The stand pictured above was created by Randy over at Instructables. If you head over to Instructables here, you can see step by step how to make this nice looking laptop stand for around $10. The only tricky part is that he uses a laser cutter to cut the holes which give this stand it’s unique look while helping to dissipate the heat from the laptop. If you don’t have access to a laser cutter, you may be able to send your piece of acrylic off or cut them out using a hole saw of Forstner bit.

Since the release of Far Cry 2, many have been plagued by the save game bug. Our own MajorGamer aka XxWhoDeyxX85 ran into this bug about a month after the release. it Imagine spending 20+ hours playing Far Cry 2, tearing your way through the story mode leaving a sea of bodies in your path only to find that your save game is corrupted! Luckily, for those who haven’t already encountered the bug, we won’t have to worry anymore. The creators of Far Cry 2, Ubisoft has released a patch fixing this bug. Unfortunately, this patch won’t help anyone out who has already suffered the bug. What does this mean? Basically, if your save game is corrupted, you’re out of luck but if you start a new one you don’t have to worry about your save game getting corrupted a second time.
